The taupe color is exactly as shown, and the boots feel sturdy enough for slushy sidewalks. They slip on easily without being too loose, which was my biggest worry.

The faux fur lining is amazingly soft and makes these boots feel instantly cozy. I wore them out in the slush and my feet stayed warm and dry, plus the taupe color hides dirt surprisingly well.
